Booking Policies

Booking & Retainers

• Appointments are booked exclusively through my online booking system.
• A $25 non-refundable retainer is required for any service under $100, and a $50 retainer for any service over $100. It is applied toward your final service balance.
• Retainers are due within 24 hours of booking. Unpaid appointments are released from the calendar.
• Please book every service you would like included — only the services booked can be performed, so timing stays fair for the next client.
• Appointments are not confirmed until your retainer has been received.
• Retainers are non-transferable except for one rescheduled appointment made with at least 48 hours' notice.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

I understand that life happens.

• Please provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule.
• Cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice forfeit the retainer.
• Same-day cancellations are treated as late cancellations.
• No-shows are charged 100% of the scheduled service.
• Future appointments may require full payment at the time of booking.

Late Arrival

Please be ready at your scheduled appointment time.

• Clients more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled so the next guest isn't delayed.
• There is a 10-minute grace period. Beyond 15 minutes a $20 late fee applies if the appointment can still be completed.

Mobile Appointment Preparation

To ensure the best possible experience, please have ready:

• Hair thoroughly detangled (unless a detangling service has been booked).
• A clean, well-lit workspace.
• Access to a standard electrical outlet.
• Children not receiving services supervised throughout the appointment. Parents remain present while their child is being serviced.
• Pets secured if necessary.
• If your hair requires preparation beyond the booked service, additional charges may apply.

Travel Fees

• Travel fees include mileage, travel time, setup and breakdown.
• Up to 15 miles: complimentary · 16–25 miles: $20 · 26–40 miles: $35 · 41–55 miles: $50 · 56+ miles: custom quote.
• Parking fees, valet charges, tolls and venue fees are the client's responsibility.
• Bridal, editorial and group bookings receive custom travel quotes.

Premium Appointment Options

Available by request only.

• Sunday appointments: +$50
• Holiday appointments: +$75
• Early morning before 8:00 AM: +$35
• Evening after 6:00 PM: +$40

Shampoo & Blow-Dry

• Please select whether shampoo services are needed when booking.
• If shampoo is not included with your selected service, hair should arrive clean and ready to style.

Additional Guests

• To preserve the relaxing atmosphere of your appointment, only scheduled clients should be present unless prior arrangements have been made.

Hair & Products

• Hair and extensions are not included in the price of any service.
• If you do not see a style listed, text me the look you have in mind. If I cannot execute it, I will happily refer you to someone who can.

Hair Extensions

• Clients supplying their own extensions are responsible for purchasing the correct length, texture and quantity.
• Def Steph's Hair Studio is not responsible for manufacturer defects, incorrect colors or insufficient hair purchased by the client.

Photography

• Photos and videos may occasionally be taken for portfolio and marketing purposes.
• If you prefer not to have your photos shared, simply let me know before your appointment.

Payments

Accepted payment methods:

• Credit & debit cards, Apple Pay, cash, Zelle and Cash App ($DefStephs).
• Payment is due immediately upon completion of your service.

Service Guarantee

Your satisfaction matters.

• If you have any concerns about your service, please contact me within 48 hours so I can evaluate the situation and determine an appropriate solution.
• Due to the nature of professional beauty services, refunds are not offered.

Health & Safety

• If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule.
• The health and well-being of every client is a priority.

Right to Refuse Service

• Def Steph's Hair Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service due to unsafe working conditions, disrespectful behavior, unsanitary environments or circumstances that prevent services from being completed safely.
